I know...I know...I am a SLACKER!

My amazing little family has had a million wonderful things going on, all of which are blog worthy but this mom is a HUGE slacker. I am not really going to even try to "catch" you all up on our happenings, but I will start fresh! One of the happenings was a new computer! I have always wanted a MAC and we broke down and invested in what I believe to be the best computer ever made! With the new computer comes the ease of becoming a better blogger! Here are a few pictures from the bast 6 months or so... ENJOY!

Sea World...

Our little family piled in the car and brought Mimi along for the ride to San Diego. We met up with Nate and Brandi's family, they disembarked from their cruise in San Diego and stayed a few extra days with us. After some hotel drama... which means after I refused to stay in the first hotel and made us move to a new one... we got settled in and began our first family of 4 trip! It was so much fun and Odin loved having his cousins with him to play and experience Sea World for the first time. Nate's family has been there many times so they showed us the ropes. We had breakfast with the dolphins and Odin loved petting and feeding the different ocean animals. He is growing up so fast and he remembers EVERYTHING about this trip. He specially likes to remind me that he saw a whale poop in the tank! He is such a little boy! Rykr was amazing... not that that is a surprise... he is always such a chill baby. I carried him around in my little Rykr pack and he loved it. The best part about Sea World for me was they having private rooms with extra AC and rocking chairs just for moms who nurse their babies. This made my life so much easier! I think every place in the world should have such rooms! I would go back just because of this amenity!

I am a horrible mother...

I have no excuse.... I could say that having 2 kids has made it way too difficult to blog and that staying up all night is so hard and that crying babies rule my world.... But sadly, that is not the case, my infant is not difficult, he sleeps through the night and Odin is the only one who cries and that is only around nap time! I have not taken any recent pictures of Rykr and he is getting so big! I did manage, with help from my mom to get the boys photographed at JCPenney and they turned out great! I refuse to get family pictures taken until I have lost all of my weight and I have just been slacking in the snap shot division! I am publicly asking for repentance and I promise to do better starting on Monday! See you all on Monday with many pics and lots of fun details of all things Welker!

Sincerely,

Afton

Finally....

On January 10, 2010, Rykr Chief Welker blessed us with his presence! After 2 days of waiting to be induced, we got the call! After only 7 hours of labor, and 3 pushes, he arrived! We couldn't be more happy or proud! He is an amazing baby... never cries and eats like a horse and sleeps even better! We are so thankful to to our Heavenly Father for sending us such a precious gift...

This is how we do it....

We didn't get up at 5:00 am on Black Friday... however we did go out later that afternoon and still managed to get some great deals on Christmas gifts! Odin was exhausted from the multiple stores and all of the looking around.... SO CUTE!

Thanksgiving 2009...

This year we did Thanksgiving a little less than traditionally! On Thursday we went with the Welker family to the Keg... SO YUMMY! I snapped some shots of the boys being boys... couldn't resist these handsome guys!

"Sitting outside watchin' airplanes"...

Now that the weather is so nice, Odin spends much of his time outside playing with his kitchen set. He loves to cook and to play chef! A few weeks ago, Josh went outside to find our son sitting on the kitchen! Josh asked him what he was doing, his response, " Sitting watching airplanes." When Josh was a little guy his dad would take him to Falcon Field and park on the runway so Josh could watch airplanes... I guess it really is true... Like Father Like Son!
